The Controllers

The genius of InGrid lies in its multiple redundancies. Every component is two-way, so signals sent are always confirmed between components. Unlike the old one-way remote controls or garage door-openers of yesterday, two-way all digital means all reliable.

Grid Controllers - your personal grid of protection

The InGrid system is built to deliver a grid of protection powered by the base, the console, and in the Home kit the Grid Extender. Each communicates with each other, and with all of the sensors. If any one is disabled, the others step in to allow the system to continue to function. This unique “distributed architecture” makes InGrid nearly burglar-proof—no single master control panel that can easily be disabled, no single point of vulnerability. And, each Grid controller comes with 24-hour battery back-up.

Cut wire protection

Unlike typical analog systems, InGrid has multiple communication paths to InGrid professional monitoring for extra security. InGrid connects to your broadband connection, but for added backup protection—and reliability — InGrid comes with redundant telephone connectivity and soon, cellular connectivity.

Even the back-ups have back-ups

InGrid is the only security system that monitors and alerts you if there are any problems.

Grid Extender - our secret sauce

Not only does the Grid Extender expand the coverage of the grid, but it also can act as your “hidden controller” that would be extra hard for an intruder to locate. The Grid Extender acts like the other Grid Controllers — sending and receiving signals from the sensors - but it can be placed in a hard-to-find location such as behind a couch or under a table. It even has a telephone jack for an extra backup connection to InGrid monitoring.
